The launch represents more than just five new routes. Avelo has confirmed that it will establish a new operating base at McKinney, stationing two Boeing 737-800 aircraft at the airport and creating more than 100 local jobs, including positions for pilots, flight attendants, aircraft technicians, and airport employees. The investment reflects the airline's long-term confidence in North Texas and its strategy of serving growing communities through smaller, less congested airports. According to Avelo, McKinney offers an ideal combination of strong population growth, convenient airport access, and lower operating costs, allowing the airline to provide travelers with a faster and simpler airport experience compared with larger hubs.
