Booking
Planning a trip with your partner shouldn't feel like work. You want to book flights, find a decent hotel, and actually spend time together—not spend three weekends comparing prices on twelve different websites.
At Mundotrip.com, our couples vacation packages put your flights, accommodations, and sometimes activities into one booking. You pick where you want to go, we handle the logistics, and you get on with planning the parts of your trip that actually matter.
Whether you're looking at a beach resort in the Caribbean, a city break in Europe, or a mountain cabin in Colorado, we've built packages that work for couples who just want to travel without the administrative headache.
Not every couples trip needs rose petals and champagne. Different relationships want different things.
Romance travel has become code for "expensive" and "complicated." It doesn't need to be either.
Caribbean beaches
Jamaica, Aruba, and the Dominican Republic give you warm weather, clear water, and resorts that cater specifically to couples. Many properties in Montego Bay and Punta Cana run adults-only sections. Negril works if you want something quieter. Flight time from most East Coast cities stays under four hours.
Check our All-Inclusive Vacation Packages for Caribbean resorts where meals and drinks are already covered.
Mexico
Cancun has the most options—large all-inclusive resorts, smaller boutique hotels, and everything between. Playa del Carmen sits just south with better access to Mayan ruins and cenotes. Tulum gives you beaches plus that rustic-chic vibe people like to photograph. Los Cabos works well for West Coast travelers who don't want a long flight. Puerto Vallarta combines beach time with actual Mexican culture.
Our Beach Vacations Packages cover the main Mexico beach destinations.
Hawaii
Maui draws the most couples. Road to Hana, sunrise at Haleakala, good snorkeling at Molokini. Kauai is quieter and greener. Big Island has volcanoes and varied terrain. Oahu gives you both Waikiki and the North Shore. Flight times from the West Coast run 5-6 hours, longer from anywhere else.
European cities
Paris remains popular for obvious reasons. Barcelona combines architecture, food, and beaches. Rome works if you both like history. Amsterdam is easy to navigate and less expensive than you'd think. Prague delivers old-world architecture without the Paris price tag. Venice is Venice—you either want to go or you don't.
Check City Break Vacation Packages forr urban options that include flights and central hotels.
US destinations
Charleston has the food scene and historic architecture. Savannah is similar but smaller. Santa Fe delivers art galleries and desert landscapes. Portland (either one) works well for couples who like food and beer. New Orleans combines food, music, and architecture. Napa Valley is obvious if wine matters to you.
Mountain and adventure options
Aspen, Jackson Hole, and Park City work year-round—skiing in winter, hiking in summer. Banff and Whistler bring Canadian Rockies scenery. Sedona combines red rocks with spa resorts. Colorado mountain towns like Telluride and Breckenridge give you outdoors without being too remote.
Our Mountain Vacation Packages cover ski resorts and summer mountain getaways.
Off-the-radar choices
Costa Rica combines beaches, rainforest, and adventure activities. Iceland gives you hot springs, waterfalls, and Northern Lights (in winter). Portugal's Algarve region delivers beaches and seafood at prices below most of Europe. Scotland's Highlands work if you both like hiking and whisky. New Zealand is far but covers everything—mountains, beaches, vineyards, fjords.
Skip the generic advice. Here's what actually affects your trip.
Book together or separate?
Package deals save time but not always money. Compare the package price against booking flights and hotel separately. Usually packages win on convenience, separate bookings sometimes win on price. Run both options before deciding.
Resort vs boutique hotel
Large resorts provide more amenities—multiple restaurants, pools, activities, spa. Boutique hotels give you better service, more unique design, quieter atmosphere. Resorts work well if you plan to stay on property most of the time. Boutique hotels make more sense if you'll spend days exploring the area.
All-inclusive or not
Depends on how you eat and drink. If you consume three meals daily plus multiple drinks, all-inclusive often saves money. If you prefer trying local restaurants or don't drink much, all-inclusive limits your options. The sample package in Cancun we looked at earlier: all-inclusive at $1,200 per person for 5 nights, or room-only at $800. That $400 difference covers all food and drinks—roughly $80 daily per person.
Direct flights vs connections
Direct flights cost more but save 3-5 hours of travel time. For short trips (3-4 days), pay for the direct flight. For longer trips (7+ days), connections might be worth the savings. Red-eyes can work if you both sleep on planes.
Insurance considerations
Trip insurance makes sense for expensive international trips, especially if you're booking 3+ months ahead. Domestic trips under $2,000 probably don't warrant insurance unless you have concerns about needing to cancel. Read what's actually covered—most policies exclude "I changed my mind.
Timing your booking
Book 2-3 months ahead for most destinations. Holiday periods (Christmas, New Year's, Valentine's Day) need 4-5 months advance booking. Last-minute deals exist but you'll have limited choice on dates, departure cities, and properties. Shoulder season (April-May, September-November for most beach destinations) delivers better prices than peak season.
Room upgrades
Ocean view vs garden view vs standard often makes less difference than you think, especially if you're out of the room most of the day. Splurge on location (beachfront, city center) rather than room size. Balcony matters more than square footage.
Most vacation sites focus on logistics. But there are practical things couples actually care about.
Browse our packages to find something that fits your travel style and budget. We've put together options for beach resorts, city breaks, adventure trips, and everything between. Whether you're celebrating something specific or just want to leave town together for a few days, the destination matters less than booking something and actually going.
