Delta Will Bring Live NFL and Sports Streaming to International Flights This Fall

Delta Air Lines is expanding its onboard sports offering to international flights, giving SkyMiles members a new way to watch live NFL and other major sporting events while traveling between the U.S. and destinations abroad.

Delta Air Lines is partnering with Sport 24, IMG’s live sports service for airlines and cruise operators, to bring 24/7 live sports coverage to international flights through Delta Sync Wi-Fi. The new service is scheduled to begin this fall, providing travelers with access to live sports on their personal devices while in the air.

For U.S. travelers who do not want to miss an important game while crossing the Atlantic or traveling on other international routes, the new offering could make long-haul flights more convenient, particularly during the NFL season.​​​​​​​

The new Sport 24 service will be available through Delta Sync Wi-Fi on international routes to and from the United States.

SkyMiles members can log into Delta Sync Wi-Fi using their membership credentials and access Sport 24 and Sport 24 Extra through a web player on a personal device such as a smartphone, tablet or laptop. SkyMiles membership is free to join.

The service will provide around-the-clock live sports programming rather than limiting passengers to recorded entertainment.

Delta says the coverage will include some of the world's most-followed sporting events and leagues, including the NFL, NBA, Premier League, UEFA competitions, Formula 1 and Grand Slam tennis tournaments. The programming will be prioritized according to the most relevant live event available at the time.​​​​​​​

The timing is particularly relevant for U.S. travelers because the new service is arriving during the NFL season.

Passengers traveling internationally could otherwise find it difficult to follow live games because of time-zone differences or because their usual streaming services may not provide the same viewing experience while abroad.

With Sport 24 available through Delta Sync Wi-Fi, eligible SkyMiles members will have another option for following live sporting events while their Delta flight is in the air.

However, travelers should not interpret the announcement as meaning that every NFL game will be available on every international flight. Delta says Sport 24 will carry major sports properties and prioritize live programming based on the most relevant event available at the time.​​​​​​​

The new sports service is designed around Delta's onboard Wi-Fi rather than requiring passengers to use a seatback television.

After connecting to Delta Sync Wi-Fi, eligible SkyMiles members can access the Sport 24 web player on their personal devices. This gives travelers the flexibility to watch live sports on a phone, tablet or laptop during their journey.

Delta describes the service as part of the broader Delta Sync experience, which combines connectivity, entertainment and other onboard experiences for SkyMiles members.​​​​​​​

Sport 24 is not Delta's only sports-related streaming option.

The airline already offers other sports content through Delta Sync on eligible domestic flights. For example, Delta partnered with FOX One earlier in 2026 to give SkyMiles members complimentary 24-hour access to the streaming platform on domestic flights. FOX One includes live programming such as NFL on FOX, MLB, NASCAR, IndyCar and college football.

Delta also offers other sports-related content and experiences through its onboard entertainment partnerships.

The Sport 24 partnership therefore expands Delta's sports strategy to international travel rather than replacing the airline's existing domestic offerings.​​​​​​​
