JetBlue Expands Fort Lauderdale Network With 14 New Routes Across the U.S. and Latin America

JetBlue is significantly expanding its presence at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), giving travelers more nonstop options to destinations across the United States, Puerto Rico and Latin America. The airline has already launched eight new routes from Fort Lauderdale and plans to add six more destinations through November 2026.

The expansion represents JetBlue's largest-ever schedule at Fort Lauderdale, with the airline operating more than 125 daily departures following the initial July expansion and expecting approximately 150 daily departures from the airport this winter. The growth is strengthening Fort Lauderdale's role as one of JetBlue's most important gateways in South Florida.

For U.S. travelers, the expanded schedule means more opportunities to reach Fort Lauderdale without a connection, while passengers based in South Florida gain new nonstop choices for domestic, Caribbean and Latin American trips.​​​​​​​

JetBlue began the latest expansion in July 2026, introducing nonstop service from Fort Lauderdale to eight new destinations.

The routes include:

• Baltimore (BWI): three daily flights
• Charlotte (CLT): three daily flights
• Cleveland (CLE): one daily flight
• Nashville (BNA): three daily flights
• Detroit (DTW): two daily flights
• Houston (IAH): three daily flights
• Chicago (ORD): two daily flights
• Ponce, Puerto Rico (PSE): one daily flight

The Cleveland service began July 8, while the other seven routes launched July 9. These flights provide new direct connections between Fort Lauderdale and several major U.S. population centers.

For travelers, the additional nonstop services can reduce the need for connecting flights and provide greater flexibility when planning trips to South Florida.​​​​​​​

JetBlue's Fort Lauderdale growth will continue through the fall, with six additional destinations scheduled to enter the network.

The upcoming routes include:

• Barranquilla, Colombia: October 1, 2026
• Cali, Colombia: October 15, 2026
• Columbus, Ohio: November 2, 2026
• Indianapolis, Indiana: November 2, 2026
• San Diego, California: November 19, 2026
• Caracas, Venezuela: launch date not yet confirmed

The Barranquilla, Cali, Columbus and Indianapolis routes are scheduled to operate daily, while the planned San Diego service will also operate daily.

The Caracas route requires special attention. JetBlue has announced its intention to begin the Fort Lauderdale–Caracas service, but the airline says the launch remains subject to government approval and other required processes. Travelers should therefore consider Caracas a planned destination rather than a confirmed operating route at this stage.​​​​​​​

One of the most notable additions is the upcoming Fort Lauderdale–San Diego route.

JetBlue plans to begin daily service on November 19, 2026, and the airline will operate its premium Mint cabin on the route.

Mint offers a more premium experience than JetBlue's standard economy cabin, including fully lie-flat seats on applicable aircraft. The airline has positioned the new service as its premium option between South Florida and Southern California.

For travelers making the long journey between Fort Lauderdale and San Diego, the new nonstop flight could provide an alternative to connecting itineraries, while Mint gives premium passengers another option for the cross-country trip.​​​​​​​

The Fort Lauderdale expansion goes beyond the 14 new destinations.

JetBlue is increasing frequencies on several routes that it already operates from the airport, including Austin, Aguadilla, Dallas-Fort Worth, Raleigh-Durham, Santo Domingo and Santiago de los Caballeros.

Additional service is also planned on other routes, giving travelers more departure-time choices in addition to the newly added destinations.

Higher frequency can be particularly valuable for passengers coordinating flights around business meetings, hotel stays, family plans or cruise departures.

Instead of being limited to one flight on a particular day, travelers may have multiple departure options depending on the route.​​​​​​​

JetBlue's latest schedule represents a substantial increase in its Fort Lauderdale operation.

The airline says its FLL schedule grew by more than 75% compared with 2025. After the initial expansion, JetBlue was operating more than 125 daily departures from Fort Lauderdale and serving more than 55 nonstop destinations.

The airline expects its schedule to reach approximately 150 daily departures this winter, making the airport an even more important part of its network.

The expansion comes as Fort Lauderdale continues to serve a large number of both leisure and business travelers.

The airport also benefits from its proximity to Port Everglades, making Fort Lauderdale particularly important for passengers flying to South Florida before or after a cruise.​​​​​​​

JetBlue's expansion gives travelers across several parts of the United States more direct access to Fort Lauderdale, while passengers based in South Florida will have additional nonstop options for reaching destinations across the country and beyond.

The biggest changes are already visible through the eight routes launched in July, while another five confirmed destinations are scheduled to begin between October and November. Caracas remains a proposed addition pending government approval.
