Qatar Airways Expands Winter Network to 170+ Destinations, Opening More International Options for U.S. Travelers

Qatar Airways is expanding its 2026–27 winter network to more than 170 destinations, with nearly 1,800 weekly flights planned for December 2026. For travelers in the United States, the biggest benefit is not a wave of new nonstop routes but more connecting opportunities through Doha as the airline adds or restores flights to destinations across Asia, Africa, Europe and Australia. Qatar Airways will continue serving several major U.S. airports, although some American routes are scheduled at lower frequencies, so travelers should check their departure city's schedule before booking.

Qatar Airways' network gives U.S. passengers access to a large number of international destinations through its Doha hub.

The airline's winter schedule includes additional flights to several destinations that are popular with American vacationers. Phuket and Malé will each receive 21 weekly flights from October 25, 2026, while Ho Chi Minh City will increase to 11 weekly flights from November 7.

Qatar Airways will also resume daily service to Zanzibar on October 25 and increase flights to Johannesburg to 18 weekly from December 2, up from 14.

The airline also restored daily Philadelphia–Doha service on August 1, 2026, giving travelers in the Philadelphia area a direct connection to Qatar Airways' Doha hub.

Qatar Airways is also increasing service to major European destinations that are part of its wider network.

Flights between Doha and London Heathrow will increase to 56 weekly from October 25, compared with 49 previously. Service to Frankfurt will rise to 21 weekly flights from December 7, up from 18.

Travelers planning a longer trip to Australia will see additional Qatar Airways capacity during the winter schedule.

The airline plans to resume daily service to Canberra via Melbourne on December 9, 2026, while Melbourne service will increase to 14 weekly flights.

Qatar Airways is continuing its rollout of Starlink Wi-Fi alongside the winter network changes. The airline says more than 150 widebody aircraft are expected to be equipped with the technology, supporting up to 340 Starlink-enabled flights each day.
